For all my followers who care about where their food is going to come from in the next several decades (that SHOULD be all of you): go check out Downland! Jessi Roesch is building a platform that seizes on the opportunity of the coming farm transition (the average farmer today is almost 60!) to help retiring farmers hand off their farms to the next generation in a way that advances the regenerative agriculture revolution. And of course Good Agriculture will be working with them to help all these new farmers succeed on the business side!

We're not crying, you're crying. 😭 Thank you Mark Green for sharing these words from our founder Jessi Roesch on the triumphant and barbaric yawp of female founders. We think they are pretty rad, too.

Our very special screening event of Show Her The Money is quickly approaching on May 2nd.  I would like to take a moment to share some words from founder Jessi Roesch, as she was brought to tears when she recently saw the movie.             “💰Show Her The Money profiles entrepreneurs and investors who embody the winning track record of women in venture. Despite barriers to entry in fundraising (women raise less than 2% of venture capital funds compared to their male counterparts), women deliver more than twice as much per dollar invested than firms founded by men (Boston Consulting Group), among other staggering results. While there are moments of struggle that hit me in a way that perhaps only founders can understand (hence the tears), the film is by no means a pity party: It defiantly calls investors to wake up to the potential of female founders and invites more women to take advantage of the wealth building opportunities of venture. 🌈🪙” This Star-Studded screening event is not to be missed. It is an amazing and unique opportunity to go behind the scenes of the VC world with the movie, our panel and following conversations. And for those of you who are wondering….there will be food and drinks too!   Check out the trailer here - https://lnkd.in/gi6J33Yw. This trailer is powerful, and in my view, the movie is 10x more powerful.    VC plays a critical role in our economy and our businesses, making so many innovations possible. And, VC funds provide investors with the opportunity to make a difference in their lives as well, naturally with some risk-taking.  This event provides the opportunity for an inside track to the VC world. We will have many founders and VC Funds present. This is a great networking opportunity as well! Thank you Nicholas Koutouras for making this happen here in Los Angeles and at FEI around the country. Thank you Jessi Roesch for sharing your heart! #ShowHerTheMoney #SHTM #VC #Leadership #Money #Diversity #Equity #Inclusion # Naseem Sayani (she/her) Pocket Sun Catherine Gray Josh Schimmels, MBA Dawn Lafreeda Vicky Pasche Ky Dickens https://lnkd.in/gU2WNtuf FEILA Members, Partners, and first-time qualified guests may attend at $15. Costs for other approved guests is $69.

Here’s something exciting I’ve been helping out with! I wanted to share more about Jessi Roesch and what her team has been building at Downland. 🌱Downland helps the next generation of climate-smart farmers get started by matching them with land, training and capital. They've had some incredible traction: 15 landowner LOIs (and counting!) Over 200 farm & ranching apprentices on our waitlist Over $60k in pre-sales Over 6,000 email subscribers For the next few weeks, friends and insiders are invited to invest the round opens to the public. Check out the link below to start: https://lnkd.in/gCA7P_RE The average investment in community rounds is around $1,200, but you can support with as little as $100. Be smart, trust your gut, and get in while you can! 🌱Jessi, Grace Hosek, and I conducted brainstorming sessions on the importance of heathy soil, some of those indicators, benefits of regenerative agriculture, and used our research on soil quality to help her get started (amongst an amazing team she created)! We were featured in her launch video, follow the link to watch without captions: https://lnkd.in/gbwneMWB See here for important legal disclosures: https://bit.ly/wfttwld
