Think instrumentation and obturation are the hardest parts of endo? Think again! In reality, instrumentation and obturation are easy to master when you have a consistent, repeatable workflow — something you can learn in E-School, by the way. 😉 But what I CAN'T teach you is how to prepare for every single kind of tooth anatomy you'll ever encounter… and unpredictable tooth anatomy can make endodontic access a real pain in the a**. Maybe someday there will be Google Maps for endo that can tell you exactly how to navigate any tooth. We could call it the Canal Compass or the Tooth Tracker! Get ready, because I'm coming at you today with a ✨ great ✨ endo case… in order to MAKE a case for why you should invest in your endo training. 😉 A lot of people think mastering endo is about mastering techniques: getting into the canals, getting to working length, obturating the tooth, etc. But at the end of the day, what it's REALLY about is understanding tooth anatomy. 🦷 No two teeth are the same, which means it's impossible to memorize exactly how to treat every single one that lands under your loupes.
