Congratulations to Jazon Barnes, our October Pioneer. Jazon started with us one year ago as a CNC operator and has recently been promoted to line leader. According to other Drake employees, Jazon is an “All Star.” He has taken his new role as Line Leader very seriously and is excelling in this position. He works closely with his team to ensure they have the necessary training, often assisting with additional Plex training. He has a positive attitude, great work ethic and is willing to take on whatever job needs to be done. Jazon is eager to learn and has natural leadership skills. He’s not afraid to make suggestions or speak up about needed improvements. He is a huge asset to our team! This is well deserved, Jazon! It was our pleasure to host students from Lake Shore High School for MFG Day. They got to experience a day in the life of a Drake-N- Knight. They toured our quality lab, learned about shipping and receiving, watched a gear shift lever be machined and built, and even ran some machines. Congratulations to 🌟Brent Vespa,🌟 our September Pioneer of the Month. Brent is our IT Administrator and has been with Drake for almost two years. Brent has been proactive this past year and taken ownership of many aspects of the IT department, particularly providing opportunities to new and current employees for Plex training. He adapts to the needs of those he is training. He is always willing to help in any way needed and has given multiple one-on-one training sessions to employees at their workstation. Brent ensures all employees at Drake are set up for success. He takes the time to really learn what each department does and then figures out the best way to help them, whether it’s reorganizing their workstation or providing additional training on ways to more efficiently use Plex. Brent drops everything when an issue arises and makes sure the problem is fixed until he goes onto the next project. He truly cares about Drake’s success, and this is evident in his everyday work.
