About us
DreadFest is a free, nonprofit film festival for horror fans and filmmakers alike. For years, DreadFest has served as an outlet for local Seattle filmmakers to screen their short, indie horror films to a live audience as well as an ever-growing online fanbase. The first DreadFest back in October 2010 only consisted of a few entries and attendees, but word quickly spread, and more and more filmmakers created entries for the following years' film festivals. What started as a small get-together between friends has since snowballed into a large gathering of filmmakers and fright fans from all over the northwest, and entries have been submitted from neighboring states, and even from international filmmakers.
