There’s one thing I wish I had done differently in the past ten years of running Dreamers & Doers®… I wish I had paused more to celebrate. As an entrepreneur (and frankly, just as a human), it’s so easy to overemphasize the negatives and overlook the positives. I’m the first to admit that I’ve spent countless hours—honestly, probably weeks, months, or even years—feeling down about the lows of the journey. Yet, what we focus on, amplifies! Are the lows really what we want to amplify? Probably not... When I finally realized this, we made celebration a core value of our company and community. It’s a fun, no-brainer way of approaching life that tangibly shifts both your internal and external reality. This doesn’t mean we ignore the lessons from the lows or avoid allowing ourselves to feel the feels when they hit us. It just means we celebrate at least as much as we reflect on challenges. We’ve especially found that encouraging “bragging” as a form of celebration is incredibly powerful…don’t hide your wins, celebrate and flaunt them! Here are three of my (many) brags from the last ten years that I’m honored to celebrate with you. What’s something you’re proud of? Let’s shift your reality today by amplifying it together. Taking a night off from parenting… can you even imagine?!? 🎉 I’m beyond excited to share that I was recently featured alongside Gesche Haas in TODAY 🎉 In the article, we explore a simple but powerful idea—taking a night off from parenting and how it can truly make a difference in our mental health and overall well-being. It’s a concept that’s close to my heart, especially as I work with busy moms to help them find and build their support system that enables them to have more freedom, time, and peace of mind. I’m so grateful to have contributed to this conversation, and I hope it inspires other parents to embrace the idea that taking a break isn’t selfish—it’s essential.
