We have had a surprising number of questions on halloween gift giving. Understandably, lots of people seem concerned about the very questionable practice of giving candy. So, we have attempted to address the question "Dear Drs Schuster & Oxley, can you help us with a healthy alternative suggestion for gift giving at Halloween? Something that celebrates the spooky season, is fun, and perhaps might even do some good in the long run?" We think we may have nailed this one.

Schuster and Oxley are long time collaborators and former work colleagues, who have gone through the ups and downs of some the most ‘press covered’ corporate events of the last 20 years. While they have successfully navigated a combined 75 years in senior global business roles across four continents, they are determined futurists, advocates for next generation talent, pioneers of new approaches to work and careers, and enthusiasts for what a digital world will enable. They hold collectively five graduate degrees including two doctorates in Economics and Organizational Change. They cite their academic training as one reason why they have been successful in navigating major business and professional challenges. However, it is a with a keen eye to pragmatism and relevance that they write. As Drs Schuster and Oxley, they have set out to address a number of subjects that they believe have been over intellectualized, complicated, misdiagnosed, or outdated.

September 19th 2024, will be a date that David Oxley and myself will remember for a long time. What started as a passion project some two years ago turned into something much bigger and more significant. Pre-orders for our next book ‘A Groundhog Career’ are available on Amazon and work on book three of the She Shinope saga has already begun. No matter what you do, how successful you are, and how old or accomplished you are, we all like recognition and validation. Being shortlisted for an award is pretty cool, but seeing your book being highly commended by an expert jury, and recognised in front of a room of accomplished writers, is definitely ‘goosebumps cool’. Apologies to David that I could not be there this year - next year, I certainly will! David, you and Sue represented the spirit of our writing very, very well!
