Congrats to the entire team who recently helped geosteer a successful U-Turn well for an operator in the Delaware Basin. D-Tech Rotary Steerable utilized its standard RST650 to complete the 7 7/8-in. section and accomplished varying target changes by 8° throughout the turn. This accuracy helped ensure that the operator achieved their drilling objectives and was the only turn with zero issues getting casing to bottom. An operator drilling multiple 8 1/2-in. wells in the Midland Basin needed to increase their ROP in the lateral sections while reducing sliding they experienced with conventional bottomhole assemblies. They chose to work with the D-Tech Rotary Steerable team due to their continued performance successes in the area. D-Tech recommended its RST675 to drill the 8.5-in. laterals, completing back-to-back one-run successes. The D-Tech RST and 24/7 real-time support team successfully drilled 15,287 ft in one run, with a 174.93 ROP. They drilled 100% in the zone.
