For the past year, I have been proud to serve on the #HigherEd Climate Action Task Force with EnergyEnvironment Program with The Aspen Institute. We spent a year learning from students, faculty, leaders and more about the needs and opportunities for higher education to advance #climate solutions. Today, I'm excited to share the release of the Higher Ed Climate Action Plan. The comprehensive action plan identifies the pivotal opportunity for higher education to lead solutions, adapt to risks, and prepare students for success in a changing climate. There is a critical opportunity for higher education to leverage its strengths to build knowledge, foster innovation, enhance communities, and model solutions to help build a sustainable, resilient, and just world. 🎓🌱 🌎 Check out the report here: https://bit.ly/4d816mw

Surprised and very honored to be among the seven faculty at Duke University to become AAAS Fellows this last week. It is often challenging for those of us who do #interdisciplinary, #community engaged and #policy oriented research to be recognized for our efforts. Thank you AAAS and the many others who have supported this research over the years! https://lnkd.in/eXZZAaGv

Climate work is NEVER done! Really proud of the work we are doing at Duke to advance #climate and #sustainability . One thing that is missed in the article below is that this work is lifted up by so many amazing #leaders across Duke University including @Katie Douglas, Tavey Capps, Brian Murray, Sara DiBacco Childs, William M. LeFevre, Saskia Cornes, @Tina Renfrow and so many others who are leaning into global challenges with positivity and hope!
