Many of our APPs view their career as a calling. Join us this #APPWeek to recognize what has drawn a few of our outstanding Duly APPs to healthcare. "When I was 14, my younger brother was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes. It was a huge shock to our family, and I remember feeling scared and upset about the news. Once I saw how insulin/an insulin pump and routine medical care could provide him with a relatively normal life, I was hopeful but also intrigued! I knew at that time that I wanted to be involved in healthcare and help other families just like mine. Anyone looking to become an APP should study hard, be curious about the human body, and learn to be a good listener. Providing excellent healthcare often begins with establishing trusting relationships with patients, so practicing empathy and effective communication is important. I'd also advise shadowing as many APPs as possible to better understand their role in the workplace." Kelly Bramlette, PA-C, Otolaryngology - ENT #APPWeek #NationalAPPWeek #HealthcareJobs

“I have been fortunate to be a Urology PA at Duly for the last 13 years. I love the time I get to educate my patients and help them make an informed decision about their health and care. I see a lot of patients who have lived with incontinence for many years. They are discouraged and frustrated. I can offer them hope and a variety of treatment options. I had a patient who had never taken a vacation with her family because they would have to make so many bathroom stops for her. Our team treated her incontinence with neuromodulation therapy, and she came back and was excited to share she had finally taken a road trip with her husband and children. I chose a career as a PA because I saw many of my family members avoiding medical care until their health got bad. I want to remove the fear of seeing a provider and give patients power and knowledge to take better care of their health.” -Autumn Roland, PA, Urology If you’re looking for the next step in your career journey and work tirelessly to go above and beyond for your team and patients, consider joining the Duly team today: https://bit.ly/3GXYqtE

“I chose a career in healthcare because I love helping others and have an interest in science, medicine and technology. It has been very rewarding to watch MRI technology evolve over the years and get to be a part of that. I’ve learned that communication is key with patients, especially those who are anxious! It’s not unusual to encounter a patient that is nervous about their pending results or who is claustrophobic. After a thorough explanation of the exam, I make sure to get them positioned as comfortable as I can, offering extra pillows and cushions. Even just 5 minutes in an MRI machine can feel like a very long time, so I always make sure to communicate to my patient how long each set of images will take, all the while reassuring them that they are doing a great job.” -Kinga Wierzba, MRI Technologist If you are driven to exceed expectations and challenge yourself every day, consider joining the Duly team today: https://bit.ly/3GXYqtE #MRISafetyWeek #HealthcareJobs #Healthcare #Hiring
