🎥 Engineering Safety Solutions in Action! At Dunmore, safety is everyone's responsibility. Maintaining a safe work place is my #1 obligation. Today, I am sharing and celebrating an incredible team effort that highlights this commitment. 🙌 Big shoutout to our Keystone maintenance folks, Gilberto Flores and Bill Shreck, for developing a solution to reduce the risk of a "pinch point" on one of our machines! Their creativity and dedication have made a significant improvement to the equipment. And let’s not forget Glen Musse and Sean Chase, who first identified the opportunity for improvement. 👏 Pinch points, where a body part can get caught between moving parts, are a serious safety concern in manufacturing. In fact, pinch points can lead to injuries ranging from lacerations to amputations, contributing to nearly 3,000 amputations annually in the workplace! In manufacturing, these injuries account for over half of all worker amputations. Recognizing risks and proactively addressing them, just like this team did, helps create a safer environment for all of us. ⚙️ I am proud of our SH&E Manager David Song's leadership which has inspired the collaboration between our teams and the proactive steps we're taking to protect our workforce. Together, we’re making manufacturing not only more efficient but also safer for everyone.
