DuPage County Board Chair Deb Conroy was honored to participate in two impactful panel discussions as part of Women's History Month. Thanks to the Illinois Manufacturers Association for hosting the 2025 Women Makers Series. On Tuesday, Chair Conroy co-hosted a panel on leadership in government with Chicago City Clerk Anna Valencia. On Friday, Chair Conroy talked about leadership and advocacy with U.S. Rep. Lauren Underwood, Kane County Chair Corinne Pierog and the engaged audience at the Quad County Urban League's 10th Women's Empowerment Summit. Two fantastic events!

  • DuPage County Board Chair Deborah Conroy and County Board Member Saba Haider presented a proclamation to Naperville resident Lucy Westlake in Washington, D.C., recognizing March as Women’s History Month. Lucy began climbing mountains at the age of 7 and holds an American record as the youngest woman to summit Mount Everest, as well as a World record as the youngest female to summit the highest mountain in each of the 50 U.S. states. After tackling the world’s tallest mountains, Lucy has turned her attention to working on one of the most challenging “Hills” in America, as an intern on Capitol Hill. She hopes to develop and promote international policies mitigating the impacts of climate change on pristine mountain environments while she educates and inspires new generations of women.
