I think one of the biggest limiting factors I see inexperienced recruiters saddling 🏇 themselves with is transactional thinking. I totally understand it. We live in a world where we tell our phone what we want from the McDonald's 🍔 drive through. One expects nothing more and nothing less. But recruiters aren't flipping burgers on an assembly line, or even building art projects 🖼️ to client specifications. Many times I have seen recruiters put on blinders and step over diamonds 💎 because today's goal was rubies ♦️ . One tool we use at Dynamic Global is the Five Year Plan. When we are interviewing our candidates, we are considering the immediate role we are discussing but we also delve deeper to consider other possibilities. Carefully listening to and noting 🗒️ these motivations, goals, and wishes can help us cooperate and participate in not just filling a role but helping articulate the opportunities for the candidate and client 's professional growth 🙂 in the coming months and years. A friend 🙋♂️ knew I spot 🔭 talent 👩🦳 👩⚕️ for my clients everyday, and part of that job requires reviewing the dreaded RESUME 📜 . Resumes are outdated tech from a previous time. Problem is, we aren't all speaking the language of what is next😕. So a good resume for a job seeker is still useful. I was happy 🙂 to help. The FIVE BASIC TIPS I would tell someone BEFORE we even start reviewing their resume are these: *Don't include your address 🏘️ . For safety 😱 . Ever. Full Stop. (Town is "ok" but you can only get screened "out" by listing your town. You will never be "qualified" into consideration because of your town.) *Create a new email address only for your career, like CollectorTom.Career@gmail.com . This makes it very fast to find people who want to talk seriously about your applications/communications. *If you use tech or industry tools, put them in your resume. Include them while describing your duties/achievements or in a section for technology. Note🗒️ : Listing Microsoft Office tools as TECHNOLOGY is no longer advantageous, unless you are applying for a role using pivot tables or Powerpoint. (If you must, just list "Advanced MS Office user.") *Industry tech tools like "EMR, Athena, Availity, Waystar," should be included because many companies (for right or wrong) will be using automated screening software. The job description should give you hints of the tools to include. *All that said, www.Fiverr.com is one of the most amazing websites for freelance projects and gig work. There are ads out there now for resume creation and interview strategies/tips that start at about $15. It's a great resource. #staffing #dallasfortworth #fiverr
