About us

The Aviation is a sub category of aerospace and defense industry serves two individual markets, namely, aerospace that includes the sale, service, and production of commercial aircraft, and defense, which is highly dependent on a country’s requirement for military equipment and weapons designed to operate in the air, sea, and on land. It also comprises the manufacturing of space vehicles and general aircraft, especially for business use. The U.S. is considered one of the largest markets for defense systems globally, and the key players operating in this nation supply aircraft or defense equipment to allies too. On the other hand, commercial aircraft are mainly sold to airlines worldwide. A few of them are configured for High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI) for personal use, transportation, organization, or general aviation use. In the olden days, airlines based in the U.S. used to be the largest market for commercial aircraft. However, presently, several foreign airlines funded by government bodies are becoming the vital source of orders. Key players in this industry are nowadays striving persistently to foster innovation by utilizing Competitive Intelligence (CI) that is helping them to implement significant changes to drive their businesses on to a whole new level. Boeing, for instance, applies CI to detect opportunities for gaining a competitive edge in the market. It also allows the company to lower risks and move into new segments much quicker than its competitors. A few others are accelerating their production activities to meet the high demand from customers. Business Research Insights provides authentic reports on every market falling under the aerospace and defense industry. • Aviation sector advances towards net-zero carbon emissions goal at ICAO Stocktaking Event Supported by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the global aviation sector has continued its efforts to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. The 2024 ICAO Long-Term Aspirational Goal (LTAG) Stocktaking, ICAO’s sixth such event, brought together close to 400 participants last week to exchange expertise, showcase successful projects, and identify priorities in response to the urgent need for action on decarbonization in the aviation sector. The four-day event, held at ICAO's Montréal Headquarters, featured 90 panelists representing a diverse range of stakeholders including governments, aviation and energy sectors, research institutions, start-ups, financial institutions, and civil society organizations. "We gather to address one of aviation's most significant challenges: achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. We are here to share progress, learn from each other, and chart our path forward. This Stocktaking event represents another important step in our journey towards this ambitious target," remarked Salvatore Sciacchitano, President of the ICAO Council. The event covered a wide range of crucial topics. Panel discussions focused on the latest developments in aircraft technologies, hydrogen use in aviation, operational improvements, and airport infrastructure. Several sessions were also dedicated to Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF), addressing policies, partnerships, sustainable certification, accounting, implementation support, and financing. Common themes included the importance of involving all stakeholders, and the role of ICAO in the development of harmonized policies to support the energy transition. Malaysia Airlines and IndiGo have entered a codeshare partnership, designed to boost connectivity between Malaysia and India. In turn, IndiGo’s 6E code will be added to Malaysia Airlines domestic flights to destinations such as Penang, Langkawi, and Kota Kinabalu. All Nippon Airways (ANA) has resumed flights from Tokyo Narita to Perth Airport (PER), Australia. Frequencies will be 3X-weekly using Boeing 787-9 equipment. “The return of ANA's service means that there are more options for business and leisure travelers, and it will also lead to many more Japanese and other international visitors coming to Western Australia,” PER Chief Commercial and Aviation Officer Kate Holsgrove says. “Japan is Western Australia's ninth biggest international visitor market, injecting A$70 million ($47 million) into the WA economy in visitor expenditure for the year ending in June 2024 and the return of ANA's direct service will be a major boost for the tourism and hospitality sector.” Source:- https://lnkd.in/dKW8SFsY #latestnews #latestarticle #trendingnews #trend #topnews #todaysnews

  • JetNet Survey Sees Bizav Industry Indecision JetNet’s latest quarterly survey shows growing uncertainty and pessimism in the business aviation industry. Speaking this afternoon at the company’s annual iQ Summit, Rolland Vincent, iQ survey founder and the head of Rolland Vincent Associates, noted that in the company’s Q3 survey, almost 60% of the 400 respondents indicated that they felt the industry had not yet reached the low point in the current business cycle, outnumbering those who believe the economy was on an upswing nearly 2-to-1. In the U.S.—the world’s largest business aviation market—industry net optimism has reached its lowest point since the initial Covid surge in 2020, with little variance among the aircraft operator segments. “We’re in a bit of a strange place,” said Vincent. “Part of it is geopolitical tensions, presidential election uncertainties for sure, changes in interest rates, inflation, all these sorts of things, and just general tensions around wealth. I think it has to do with the haves and have-nots challenges that we are seeing in our society again.” Yet despite this short-term pessimism, the survey respondents indicated that over the next 5 to 10 years, half expected to increase the utilization of their aircraft, while 46% anticipated enlarging their current business aircraft fleet. Though the U.S. gross domestic product continues to rise, the number of U.S. business jet operations has declined from a peak of 5.4 million in 2022 to a plateau of little more than 5 million for the past two years, while the U.S. business jet fleet has hovered above 15,000 units for the past three years. The preowned inventory for nearly all industry segments continues to rise with the exception of large ultra-long-range jets, which have stabilized at approximately 6.4% of the fleet on the market, and personal jets, which declined to 7.2% availability in August. • United flight approaching SFO has near miss with another aircraft; 2 passengers hospitalized An United flight bound for #SanFrancisco International Airport had to suddenly slow its descent to avoid another aircraft last week, leading to the hospitalization of two passengers, the airline said Tuesday. According to a preliminary statement issued by the Federal Aviation Administration, United Airlines flight 2428 responded to an onboard alert that another aircraft was in the vicinity at around 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, "while traveling through Oakland Air Route Traffic Control Center Airspace." The United flight subsequently landed safely at SFO. The FAA said that "there was no loss of safe separation," which means that the minimum distance between the two aircraft was maintained. According to United officials, United flight 2428 "was descending to SFO on Sept. 19 with the seatbelt sign on when it slowed its descent to account for another aircraft at a lower altitude." According to the airline's statement, two customers, "including one who was out of their seat at the time," reported possible injuries and were taken to an area hospital after the flight landed safely. Africa continues to be a promising market with its overall air-traffic growth forecasted well above the average global growth rate over the next 20 years. “We are delighted to enter into this important, ‘working together’ agreement with Boeing which will benefit Nigerian airlines and enable the development of our country’s civil aviation ecosystem,” said Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Festus Keyamo. “As Africa’s largest economy and with the continent’s largest population, Nigeria has a lot to offer in driving the growth of aviation in Africa. The support to be provided through this agreement will help our local operators grow and succeed, which is a priority of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration. We are keen to work assiduously with Boeing in the coming months and years to make this a reality.” “This agreement is an important step in establishing a sustainable civil aviation ecosystem in Nigeria as there is shared interest and value in driving innovation and progress,” said Anbessie Yitbarek, Boeing vice president of Commercial Sales for Africa. “The importance of Nigeria for Boeing lies in its rich potential to foster economic growth, connect people, and shape the future of aviation in #Africa and beyond.” #Boeing’s_Commercial_Market Outlook projects Africa will need 1,170 airplanes over the next two decades. Boeing airplanes have formed the backbone of Africa’s commercial fleet for over 75 years. More than 60 airlines operate around 500 Boeing airplanes throughout Africa, which represents nearly 70% of the airplane market across the continent.
