Max Korten has been selected to serve as Deputy General Manager of the Park District. Korten joins the executive leadership team as it moves into its 91st year and prepares for a second century of service to the community. Korten’s first day is October 8. https://lnkd.in/g-wDP4HG

Great day at Fish Festival at Crab Cove Visitor Center celebrating our 90th anniversary and honoring Park District Board Director Ellen Corbett who passed away Aug. 9.

East Bay Regional Park District Board Director Dee Rosario has been named 2024 California Special Districts Association (CSDA) Board Member of the Year, which is awarded based on experience, effectiveness, and leadership. Director Rosario was elected to the Board of Directors in November 2016. He previously worked at the East Bay Regional Park District for 37 years as a park ranger, firefighter, fire lieutenant, and park supervisor of Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park.

The Park District has been awarded with AAA ratings, with a stable outlook, for its history of responsible fiscal management and strong financial position. 

Assistant General Manager of Operations Lisa Goorjian to serve on National Association of County Park and Recreation Officials (NACPRO) Board of Directors. NACPRO is a non-profit professional organization that advances official policies that promote county and regional park recreation and conservation issues. https://lnkd.in/gwu9pnEN

Congratulations to our 2023 Public Safety Awards Recipients, Detective David Haro and Dispatch Supervisor Brian Hagebusch. Officer of the Year David Haro has has been with Park District Public Safety since 2016 and is currently a detective in the Investigations Unit. Dispatcher of the Year Brian Hagebusch has been with Public Safety since 2007 and is currently Public Safety Dispatch Supervisor.
