About us

East Side Aligned brings people together to create the conditions for young people to thrive within Greater East St. Louis. After operating as an initiative for 8 years, East Side Aligned, the organization, was formed to sustain the work of strengthening community collaboration to facilitate systems transformation with and for young people. Our role is to: CONNECT: We connect people, organizations, resources across geographies, sectors, and systems to work collaboratively toward change. BUILD: We build individual, organizational, collaborative, and community capacity to transform inequitable conditions. AMPLIFY: We amplify the people, organizations, and efforts advancing equity, justice, and well-being with and for young people.
