At EastRise Credit Union, ‘All the difference’ is more than a tagline—it’s our commitment to going beyond the basics. Inspired by Robert Frost’s poem, ‘The Road Not Taken,’ it reflects the power of making thoughtful choices. If you’ve seen our latest commercial, you’ve met Melissa and Paul Perley—dedicated artisans who bring music and community together through their work. Melissa is a professional cellist and shepherd, and Paul is a luthier specializing in restoring and repairing cellos. Together, they’ve built something truly special. “I believe we’re all born with music in us. It’s like breathing, and for me, it’s how I express myself,” Melissa shared. As a teacher and performer, she feels it’s her calling to pass this gift on to others. “When a student smiles after playing their first duet, I know I’ve done something important”. Whether she’s teaching music or working on the farm, Melissa believes in leaving the world a little better than she found it. For Paul, restoring cellos is about precision, care, and experience. “Experience makes all the difference,” he says. His passion for his craft is evident in every instrument he works on, whether it’s a quick repair or a months-long restoration. “Being able to return a fully restored instrument to someone is the most rewarding part of what I do”. Both Melissa and Paul believe deeply in the power of community. “We try to make what we do bigger than ourselves, whether it’s through our work with the youth orchestra or sharing our farm with local families,” Melissa explained. We’re proud to support Melissa and Paul in their work, as they continue to inspire and uplift our Vermont community. #EastRiseCU #VermontArtisans #LocalRoots

Meet Christine Corbett, one of our dedicated mortgage originators. 🏡 Christine has been part of our EastRise team since 2006, guiding our members through every step of their homeownership journey. Whether it’s helping first-time buyers, assisting with refinances, or seeing families grow and move to their next home, Christine loves being a part of each member’s story. Christine’s journey to becoming a mortgage originator started as a single mom, looking for a way to earn extra income. Her dedication and hard work led her from processing paperwork to becoming a trusted advisor in the mortgage department. Originally from the Cincinnati area, she moved to Vermont in 1995 and quickly became part of our community. When she’s not helping members achieve their homeownership dreams, you’ll find Christine enjoying live music or spending time with her three kids. Fun fact: her first concert was Third Eye Blind at Memorial Auditorium—a true ’90s throwback! 🎶 Say hello to Christine in the comments, and let us know how we can support your homeownership goals. #EastRise #MeetTheTeam #CommunityMatters

Meet Taylor Hoar, a rising star in the late model series at Thunder Road and the newest face in our EastRise family. If you’ve caught our latest commercial, you’ve seen Taylor not just as a driver, but as a dedicated racer, working hard both on and off the track. Taylor’s journey in racing began at a young age, and her commitment to the sport is something we truly admire. “I feel so supported… They make me feel like I’m a star, and their confidence in me has been awesome,” Taylor shared about her partnership with EastRise. For Taylor, racing is more than just a sport; it’s a family affair that brings them closer together. “I do it because we love it and it’s fun to be an inspiration to others. It brings my family so close, and that’s just a really big reason why we love it.” What motivates her to keep going? Taylor says, “You have to give it every single thing you have and more. If you want something, you have to dedicate your whole life to that and you can’t be afraid to do so.” We’re proud to support Taylor as she pursues her dreams, both in the garage and on the track. Let’s continue to cheer her on as she takes on each new challenge! 🎉 #EastRise #SponsorSpotlight
