The CFF will provide a global investment of $1.2 million to start-ups in the global markets by the end of 2025, and over 200 hours of mentoring and networking support for applicants from industry experts. ✨ Today kicks off Hispanic Heritage Month in the U.S., a celebration of the Hispanic/Latinx community’s rich history and profound impact on our society over many generations. As a Cuban American, it’s an important time to recognize and celebrate my heritage both personally, and professionally. This year the theme for Hispanic Heritage Month is ‘Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together,’ highlighting the spirit and stories of innovation, resilience, and the unity of our community. As I reflect on the theme, I think about my parents, who immigrated here a few years before I was born, as they showed resilience uprooting their lives and moving to the United States to build a new life. To me, my parents were the ultimate ‘pioneers of change’ as they moved countries, without the benefit of speaking the language, with my older brother who was just over six months old. I am proud to be the child of immigrants, and likewise, I am proud of the role that eBay plays in creating economic opportunities for all. I stand with all our employees who embody our values to “Be for Everyone,” embracing diversity in whatever form; language, life experiences, work experiences, and culture.  I look forward to the month of activities ahead for eBay.
