Our last category of tutorials to highlight before ECCE 2024 includes Machine Control and Identification. These tutorials will focus on three-phase machines which often exhibit highly nonlinear electromagnetic behavior, making standard control algorithms insufficient for effective operation. To manage these nonlinearities, multi-dimensional flux linkage maps are utilized, allowing for precise adjustments of control algorithms based on the machine's operating point. These flux maps are essential not only in enhancing dynamic performance through non-linear model predictive control (MPC) but also in high-accuracy simulations for testing new control strategies. These sessions explore various methods for obtaining flux maps in different machine types, including a new approach that uses physics-informed neural networks, providing practical insights from extensive lab experience. We hope you join us!

One of the most discussed topics in power electronics is wireless charging, which promises efficient energy transfer without the use of cables. Applications range from low-power e-mobility devices, such as cell phones, to high-power systems like traction converters for cars or trains. These systems can be powered by batteries that are charged wirelessly through inductive transfer. For those who haven't yet caught up with this trend, global experts are sharing their experiences here. Attendees at ECCE tutorials can expect to gain valuable insights into the factors behind the success of wireless charging. #wirelesscharging, #powerelectronics, #ecce_2024, #e-mobility, #batteries, #tutorials
