For Flight Crews, By Flight Crews
About us
ECHO was founded by operational flight programs to take advantage of joint training opportunities in a less formal environment at no/low cost to our members. It was created and designed as a way to utilize the wealth of knowledge and experience brought forth by individual flight programs and their crews.

Thank you for donating books to the Rotors 4 Kids project at ECHO Richmond! This year these donated children's books traveled by helicopter, plane, and car to Richmond! The Rotors 4 Kids is an initiative by ECHO, with the support of our members, to improve the experience of pediatric patients admitted to local hospitals. This year, we supported the Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU, and our efforts are supported by LifeEvac!

ECHO's Safe on Deck Relief Fund Program has been activated. We are raising funds for flight crew members or program staff who have experienced substantial losses following catastrophic events and natural disasters. If you, or a crew member you know, could benefit from this support, please visit our website or reach out to us. 100% of donations received will go towards those affected by the recent natural disasters in the Southeast. Thank you FOAMfrat for bringing the Airway Resuscitation workshop to ECHO Richmond! Attendees learned how the peripheral decisions made before, during, and after are the most dangerous. They were walked through pharmacological modifications, techniques, and how to approach airway management in the critically ill. Even Jolene, FAST therapy dog, was mesmerized by the content the FOAMfrat STUDIO has to offer!! Thank you for ensuring the ECHO Richmond attendees were well-caffeinated! We appreciate your ongoing support of ECHO HeliOps!

As EMS week comes to an end, we pause to reflect on the meaning of "Honoring our Past. Forging our Future." We honor those who came before us, especially those lost in the line of duty, and changed the future of safety in public safety aviation. This year's EMS week giveaway is a registration for ECHO Richmond conference! To enter simply comment below what you wish you could go back and teach yourself the day you entered HEMS, or the first thing you teach a new flight crew member about safety. Did you already register for ECHO Richmond? No worries you can gift the registration or use the value towards some ECHO gear. Do I have to be in HAA to enter the giveaway? No, any flight crew member can participate! Safety is in all aspects of aviation! 📸 credit: Veronica Marzonie

Today we're celebrating Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Day! It’s celebrated May 24th each year, the birthday of Charles E. Taylor, the Wright brothers' mechanic and engine builder. He’s often referred to as the "Father or Aircraft Maintenance", because while the Wright brothers built a glider, Charles Taylor made it an airplane. We know that modern aviation operations are only possible with these dedicated professionals working tirelessly to keep aircraft in safe operating condition. Thank you for keeping public safety aviation flying! 📸: Global Medical Response LifeFlight of Maine Apollo MedFlight Nebraska US Coast Guard Air Station Detroit Air Methods #aviationmaintenancetechnicianday #aviationmaintenancetechnician #aviationmaintenance #publicsafetyaviation
