Ten or 15 years ago, it would have been difficult to find the right talent with the experience in scale, sophistication, innovation, and speed necessary to build serious hardware at the startup level, says Mytra Co-Founder and CEO Chris Walti. Thanks to the rise of companies like Tesla, Rivian, and SpaceX, people have been put into positions of innovation and have had the opportunity to unlock hardware at speed and scale. Fortune's Allie Garfinkle reports on how this compounding effect of success for these hardware-centric companies has given other deep tech founders a playbook and why attracting deep tech talent from large companies is more attainable than ever: https://bit.ly/4eDrXaZ

Financial Times recently published an article discussing the dramatic clinical responses CAR-T therapies are producing in patients with autoimmune diseases. However, manufacturing capacity to treat these large patient populations is an impending challenge: “Only 35,000 lymphoma and leukaemia patients have been treated with CAR-T in the US since its approval seven years ago. In comparison, an estimated 204,000 Americans have systemic lupus erythematosus” Cellares’ integrated and automated manufacturing technology offered through our IDMO can overcome current cell therapy production constraints to meet the total treatment demand of autoimmune patients. Propulsion, the force that drives objects forward, is catalyzing the use of modern technologies, such as putting satellites into space, GPS, and countless everyday tools we take for granted. Not only is this technology critical for our day-to-day lives, but it is also integral for national security. If propulsion systems vanished, were in short supply, or malfunctioned, the U.S. and its allies would be left vulnerable to emboldened adversaries. And yet, the U.S. continues to fall behind countries like China and faces unsustainable missile consumption rates, taking years to replenish. Since 2015, Ursa Major has been on a mission to accelerate U.S. aerospace and defense innovation — reimagining propulsion technology to ensure the U.S. and its allies can deter threats and remain vigilant in the coming century. By applying lessons learned in liquid rocket engine production for space launch, the Ursa Major team has reimagined a solid rocket motor design and manufacturing approach. In a new blog, Eclipse spotlighted Ursa Major's mission to revolutionize advanced propulsion systems across space, hypersonics, and national security domains, and ultimately, transform the future of U.S. Aerospace and Defense technology: https://bit.ly/3NfPJO4

As GenAI floods organizations with an endless barrage of data, organizations face the challenge of processing this information in order to unlock breakthrough intelligence and innovation. Traditional processing solutions based on CPUs and today's software architectures cannot handle the complexity and volume of data — which is doubling every two years — with unstructured data now accounting for 90% of all data created. Today, DataPelago emerged from stealth with $47M in funding and has unveiled the first universal data processing engine to enable organizations to extract value from data at unprecedented price and performance for their GenAI and analytics workloads. DataPelago's universal data processing engine represents a paradigm shift that will unlock new possibilities in the worlds of supply chain, sustainable energy, the medical field, and beyond. More on today's news from SiliconANGLE & theCUBEhttps://bit.ly/4gG5hIy   Congratulations Rajan Goyal and the entire DataPelago team!
