CEO, Ecodeo | Founder | Producer | Filmmaker Driving Climate Solutions with Video & Film 🎥🌍

🎥 Ecodeo is about amplifying climate solutions. We’ve produced thousands of high-end video and film interviews that tell impactful and important stories. Often, a lot of research and prep goes into running these interviews correctly in order to ensure authentic and emotionally resonant narratives result. ❤️ These are a myriad of nuanced, human aspects in our work that AI simply cannot replicate. That's the simplest way to say it. 🎬 Last week, one of our senior editors shared a visual that brought us joy and hammered this home. It showed how evenly balanced our speakers are in a client project we're currently editing and how that was the result of sifting through 18 long transcripts and balancing various story threads. Each color represents a different speaker, each here are given almost equal screen time, ensuring their thoughts carry equal weight. 📣 In this day and age of extreme polarization, balancing perspectives, voice, generations, demographics, roles, orientations, and organizations on the screen is EVERYTHING! This balance is crucial for providing a comprehensive view of any story, showcasing multiple perspectives from different stakeholders or those impacted or apart of it. Achieving this balance is one of our more fun creative filmmaking challenges, essential in the way we weave together nuanced narratives. ✨There are infinite creative options, as infinite as the stars. Truly. 💼 If you're focused on initiatives driving climate solutions, or an equitable, regenerative green economy, authentic video content can powerfully showcase your vision to a wider audience. Whether it’s already on your radar or tucked away in your project list, prioritizing video can effectively communicate your organization’s successes, products, innovations, partnerships, and impact with ease and it doesn't have to break the bank at all. The most important thing is to keep it consistent. Communicating your organizations wins, products, engineering, new partnerships, progress, impact effectively and consistently is everything.🌍 📺 5 Billion videos are watched daily!!! Video storytelling is not a "nice to have", it's a business essential these days. Hands down. And it's best to have humans create it with and for you. 💫

🌞🎥 It was super cool this week to film a ribbon cutting on a new 7 MW community solar project in the Town of Fort Edward, upstate NY! ⚡ Inspiring is that this project, in addition to breathing new life into a closed landfill (that otherwise would be deemed un-usable land) , is already providing more than 300 homes and 100 small businesses with clean, renewable energy, it created green jobs while also supporting the Town's economic goals. 🤝 AC Power, an amazing leader in community solar development was behind the project in partnership with Kendall Sustainable Infrastructure, LLC and GreenSpark Energy and all put in tireless work to make this project a reality. 🌟 New York State Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner, New York State Senator Jake Ashby, and New York Solar Energy Industries Association Executive Director Noah Ginsburg joined in the celebration and shared their excitement and are all about how this solution can work across our country. 🏅 The Town of Fort Edward stands as a great leader and example of how a project like this can be a successful climate solution, and a sustainable vision for a closed landfill, that otherwise might have been unusable land. 🌍 Projects like these underscore the importance of having a dedicated team of partners and solar champions, and can act as a model for sustainable repurposing across New York and nationally. We need to keep championing climate solutions like this in strong partnerships because, they clearly work. Let's keep building for a brighter future! 👊🏽 #ACPowerToThePeople #BrownfieldSolar #EnergyTransition #CleanEnergy #WomenInEnergy #ClimateSolutions #GreenJobs #Video4Good #greenpower #ecovideo #ClimateAction #ClimateSolutions #ResilientSolutions #ClimateChange #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy #CleanEnergy #GreenEnergy #SustainableCities #SustainableTowns #EcoFriendly #GoGreen #ZeroCarbon #Decarbonize #ClimateCrisis #ClimateLeadership #ClimateStorytelling #SDGs #NewYorkState

Rad 1% for the Planet project! Big impact! 📹 Thank you Hemmings House Pictures Ltd. & Ecodeo for your thoughtful collaboration and accountability in working with us to plan, develop and produce this story. Thank you Ian Dupont for your leadership as producer on this project - you continue to impress me. 📋 Thank you Avocado Green Brands for supporting Global Summit 2023: NYC as the presenting sponsor - we couldn't have done it without ya! 🌱 Thank you to the invaluable voices who showed up in this narrative to reinforce the message, Greg Curtis, Rochelle Webb, Kate Williams and Sarah Yourgrau to name a few! 🌎 The Global Summit 2023: NYC video is now live on YouTube and has been added to our Global Summit landing page as promotional content for future events. The momentum continues, as I close this one with a quote from one of our attendee survey submissions: "Honestly, rather than a specific moment, I would like to call out a feeling instead. Do you remember how when we were young, we were always so excited to make new friends that anyone that walked up to us, we would smile and say, "Hi! My name is....." and immediately start chatting and making a new friend? That is how I felt this week. No matter which way I turned, there was a smiling face ready to make an introduction, learn about each other and figure out how we can help and learn from each other! Absolutely inspiring and uplifting! I made friends and connections that will last a lifetime!:)"

📽 We are excited to present a new #DeepSeabedMining documentary developed by Richard Charter, a Senior Fellow at The Ocean Foundation, and produced by Ecodeo. As we dive into another week of negotiations at #ISA28 in Jamaica, it’s time to remind ourselves of the beauty and fragility of the deep sea, a whole hidden hub of ecosystems crucial to all life on Earth. https://lnkd.in/dFvmcTH7

🌊 Deep seabed strip mining is the biggest threat to life in our oceans, and key decisions about where and when actual Ocean mineral extraction can begin are being made this month. 🎬Check out this trailer of Ecodeo's 20-minute film made with The Ocean Foundation. The film asks the UN to act Right NOW to protect the largest remaining wilderness on Earth by telling the International Seabed Authority to enact a moratorium on deep-sea mining. 🐙The Ocean is 70% of Earth. 🐡 It also sequesters 25% of the entire world's Carbon emissions. 👆🏼Read that last line twice. Woah! 🪼This is our collective common heritage to protect. 🐋This newest extractive industry needs to be stopped before it starts. 🐬 Thanks for supporting this policy-oriented trailer/film and taking any actions you see coming and necessary to stop these potential ocean metal miners. 🦑And thanks for liking the post, sharing and sharing the trailer further to help spread the word!📣 🎬 https://lnkd.in/eN27GeXy 🌎 #stopdeepseamining #stopextraction #ISA #oceanconservation #oceans
