Eco-Products' Midwest Product & Zero Waste Specialist (PZW), Jamie Brown, recently talked with Luke Rosenbohm, Owner of Better Earth Logistics, about how our products break down in their stream 🌿. Contamination in compost streams is an issue we are determined to tackle. Our PZW Specialists work daily around the country with composters, haulers, and customers to make sure our BPI-Certified compostable products work seamlessly in their operations. Luke is a local hauler and composter based in Peoria, Illinois. Together Luke and Jamie are collaborating to work with Peoria businesses, universities, and corporate campuses. Luke has also chosen to be a distributor of Eco-Products because he trusts our products and the relationship he has formed with Jamie. Currently, they have worked together to support Knox College in Galesburg, IL to implement composting on campus using our CIRC Program (Controls Intended to Remove Contamination) toolkit. Better Earth Logistics picks up food waste and turns it into compost at their site. A great weekend in Lake Tahoe for Jenny and Jeremy and a huge improvement from last year! We partnered with Aramark and Zephyr Cove Resort to create additional waste collection infrastructure on the lake for the 4th of July holiday. We helped Aramark set up 40 additional trash and recycling containers to add a total of 20 additional waste sorting stations. We also handed out trash and recycling collection bags to vehicles arriving at Zephyr Cove and continuously walked the beaches picking up trash and recycling from the grounds, water, and beach-goers. Big shoutout to both the Aramark and Zephyr Cove teams for the months of planning and three days of hard work! 👏 Keep Tahoe Blue

A couple of weeks ago, PZW Jamie took 7 of our Acxion Foodservice MN reps to tour Specialized Environmental Technologies (SET)'s compost site in Rosemount, MN. It was great to see what happens to our products after customer use and end up as finished compost. Thanks for having us SET!

New friend OZZI REUSE is helping to reduce waste at Boston University ! BU uses the Ozzi reusable to-go containers as part of their dining program. Since BU launched their Choose to Reuse program in the GSU Food Hall in February of 2023, they have decreased the use of disposable containers by more than 78%. June's employee spotlight is Kat Hogan 🌟 Kat is one of the Content Creators here at Eco-Products and has been part of the team for around 11 months! Kat most enjoys working on product artwork and social media 😉 She recently married her college sweetheart, Wes. Together, they enjoy trying new spots in the city, traveling, and walking/hiking their dog Seymour 🐕 Kat is also trying to learn Italian in her spare time 🇮🇹 Thanks for what you do Kat!
