This week we had the privilege of hosting the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s Region 10 Safer Choice Partner of the Year Awards at our Lacey, Washington facility. We were honored to receive the award for the 8th time. This recognition highlights our unwavering commitment to producing products that are safer for people, pets, and the planet, in alignment with the core values we champion. The Safer Choice Program represents the highest standard in product and ingredient safety. The program empowers consumers to choose products with safer ingredients, without sacrificing effectiveness—an ethos that we at ECOS wholeheartedly embrace. Honored guests included U.S. Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland, EPA Safer Choice Chief Clive Davies, EPA Regional Administrator Casey Sixkiller, Washington State Department of Ecology Director Laura Watson, and City of Lacey Deputy Mayor Malcolm Miller who all shared inspirational remarks at the event. After the awards were presented, ECOS President & CEO Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks led guests on a tour of our sustainable manufacturing facility and green chemistry lab and joined Clive Davies for a powerful thought leadership roundtable about Increasing access and education to Safer Choice-certified products in underserved communities.
