Since we had such a great response to our MarCharity Madness tournament that won $1000 for Make-A-Wish Alabama, we decided to bring it back for college football! The winner of the EcoTech Charity Pick'em will get to choose a charitable organization for a $1000 donation and a sweet EcoTech swag bag for themselves. We are going to start scoring in Week 3 of the season (weekend of Sept. 14th), so you've got plenty of time to get setup and invite your friends before the fun begins. So here's what you have to do to participate: 1. Login or Sign up for a free Yahoo account. 2. Click the link below, which should take you to the page to join with the Group ID (11063) already populated. 3. Enter group password: giveback After that, just set your personal preferences for team name, reminders to make your picks, etc. Then just be sure to make your picks weekly. Supporting customers for their industrial needs might be what we do, but supporting the PEOPLE in need in our local communities is who we are! Countless families have been impacted by Hurricane Beryl in the Houston area, including some of our own team who sustained damage to their homes. With our headquarters on the Gulf Coast, we know all-too-well the devastation that comes with a direct hit from a Hurricane, and the messy aftermath it leaves in its wake for years to come. But even in tragedies there are always those who rise up to the challenge. Often, the worst times can bring out the best in people. 💪 As Mr. Rogers would say: "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping." Which brings us to the point of this post... ➡Houston, we're asking you to help us help the helpers! If you know of a local organization or non-profit that's doing great things to help in the aftermath of Beryl, please drop their names or tag them in the comments below.
