When building software to solve a problem, you have to have a way to measure the success of your solution. And if, when you deploy that software in production, your measurement doesn’t prove your solution viable - then you have to reject your hypothesis. This is how science works. You can’t build a system to accelerate a website unless you can measure that performance increase. You can’t say something increases revenue unless you can measure that increase. You can’t suggest a media attribution model unless you can prove your model more accurately predicts returns.
