Esperanza College Prep kicked off the school year with an unforgettable Back to School Carnival! Students, families, and staff came together to enjoy a day filled with games, food, dancing, and plenty of smiles. From the photo booth to the lively music, the event was a perfect way to celebrate the start of the new school year and strengthen our vibrant school community. But the biggest hit? The dunk tank! Our amazing Alejandra Chavez, Melanie Leiva, Ms. Casiano, and even a few senior soccer stars bravely took the plunge, making it a crowd favorite! At Ednovate, we believe in building community through events like these, where students and families can engage, have fun, and make lasting memories. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event such a success! #Ednovate #EsperanzaCollegePrep

California State Senator Maria Elena Durazo recently visited Esperanza College Prep, where she had the opportunity to meet with students, parents, and staff, and tour our beautiful campus. During her visit, she engaged with classrooms and saw firsthand the incredible learning happening at Esperanza. Senator Durazo also enjoyed a sneak peek of our student folklórico performance as they prepared for the East LA Mexican Independence Day parade. We were honored to showcase the heart and spirit of our school and community! #Ednovate #EsperanzaCollegePrep

At Ednovate, we are proud to celebrate Latinx Heritage Month, from September 15 to October 15, as an opportunity to honor the vibrant cultures, rich histories, and significant contributions of the Latinx community. With about 93% of our students and 57% of our staff identifying as Latinx, this month is a meaningful time for our entire network to recognize and uplift the stories that shape who we are. This year, East College Prep, Esperanza College Prep, and Encore College Prep had the honor of participating in the 78th East Los Angeles Mexican Independence Day Parade, proudly representing their schools and communities. Their presence is a testament to the strength, resilience, and pride that our students carry with them every day. We are so proud of our students for showcasing their school spirit and sharing their stories. Together, we are building a brighter, more inclusive future where every student can succeed. #Ednovate #LatinxHeritageMonth #EastLAParade

As part of Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), Ednovate schools must undergo a charter renewal process, which involves applying to extend our charters by demonstrating strong academic performance, financial stability, and compliance with district and state standards. Recently, we submitted renewal applications for Brio College Prep, Esperanza College Prep, and USC Hybrid High College Prep, and presented them at yesterday's LAUSD Public Hearing Board meeting. Our team of school leaders, parents, and students spoke passionately about the high impact of our schools and the positive changes we have achieved together. We are grateful for the continued support of our families and community as we go through this renewal process, ensuring we can continue providing a tuition-free, high-quality, college preparatory education for all our students.
