Last night, NCSE had the honor of participating in the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) 10th anniversary event: "A Decade in the Making". More than 350 people attended the event in Raleigh to celebrate the growth and unparalleled success of NC as a business location. Attendees included Governor Josh Stein, former Governors Roy Cooper and Pat McCrory, Secretary of Commerce Lee Lilley, and former Secretaries Machelle Sanders, Tony Copeland, Sharon Decker, as well as current legislative leadership. A big thank you for the leadership of current NCSE Chair of the Board of Directors, Spence Broadhurst, who is also a member of the EDPNC Board. NCSE values our collaborative partnership with EDPNC and the engagement with statewide allies and colleagues who contribute daily to the economic vitality of NC!

Earlier tonight, the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) hosted its 10th anniversary event, celebrating "A Decade in the Making" of helping North Carolina recruit new businesses, support the expansion of existing firms, assist manufacturers with growing their exports, counsel would-be small business owners, and market the state for tourism and leisure travel visitation. We were honored to be joined by Governor Josh Stein, former Governors Roy Cooper and Pat McCrory, Secretary of Commerce Lee Lilley, and former Secretaries Machelle Sanders, Tony Copeland, and Sharon Decker - in other words, the Governors and Secretaries with whom we've worked during our first 10 years. Also joining us were more than 350 guests that included current and former Board members, investors and sponsors, staff and alumni, legislators, state officials, business leaders, and so many of the partners we've worked with in advancing our mission over the past decade. Tonight was our chance to say one big THANK YOU to the individuals and organizations without whose support and partnership we would not be commemorating this important milestone. We weren't able to invite everyone we wanted to, and not all those whom we invited were able to be with us tonight. But we're incredibly grateful for those who did make it, and our hearts are all the fuller for their presence this evening. (And I was even able to have as my guest my incredible wife Emily - Though we forgot to even take a picture together at the event till we got home, so I guess that'll have to do!) Here's to one decade in the books and to great things in the next 10 years and beyond! #EconomicDevelopment #10thAnniversary #Partnership #TeamNorthCarolina #EDPNC
