  • [ EDTECH BRIDGES WEBINARS 2024 ]: 30 YEARS INTO DEMOCRACY - LET'S TALK EDUCATION MEET THE PANEL - SPEAKER PROFILE - BAFANA MOHALE ( Bafana Mohale ) Some people say that teaching is a calling, but I would love to believe that teaching is a passion and unfortunately, not all teachers are passionate about seeing their learners succeed. I am first and foremost a teacher at heart and an academic by profession. I have served as a Tutor, Teacher, Head of Department, Deputy Principal, Lecturer and currently serving as an Executive Director. I started my teaching career in the Private Education sector, moved to the Government sector and currently working in the Nonprofit sector. I hold a Master´s Degree in Education from the University of the Witwatersrand, with specialisation in Leadership and Policy Studies (Parental Involvement and Governance). I am currently completing a Post-graduate Diploma in Advancement and Resource Mobilization with Rhodes Business School as I grapple with my Problem Statement for my PhD application for 2025. I am a strong contender for the ‘emancipation of mental slavery’ brought about by the colonial matrix of power. As a result, I am actively involved with Youth Development and Mentorship in my home-town of Kliptown, Soweto for the past 20 years. When I am not involved with endeavours to change the world, I spend quality time with family in outdoor spaces: Hiking, Running, Cycling, Swimming, Camping and playing Golf.
