As a mission-driven non-profit, we use data and analytics to improve outcomes for students and the education system.
About us
Education Analytics conducts research and develops rigorous analytics that support actionable solutions and drive continuous improvement in American education. We help our partners make better decisions on policies and programs that lead to success for all students. At EA, we work closely with our partners to illuminate patterns in data that drive change. We believe that the right data and analytics delivered at the right time can help increase equity in education. We work with the largest education systems in the country, small districts brought together through regional offices of education, state departments of education, leading research institutions and universities, charter management organizations, and fellow non-profit organizations. In each partnership, we bring what we’ve learned across our partners to co-build the right solution. We enjoy collaborating with these organizations to support the success of the millions of students they serve.

This week, we hosted Education Analytics’ Board of Directors in our Madison office for their annual Board meeting. To wrap up their visit, we had a Meet-the-Board lunch, where EA staff and Board members had an opportunity discuss a range of topics. EA’s Board members come from a variety of different backgrounds within the #education field and their unique perspectives ensure that we develop policies, #partnerships, and products that continue our mission of delivering the right #data at the right time to take the right steps to support all #students. For this week's edition of our series, #WordoftheWeek, we are highlighting #API. API stands for application program interface and the term encompasses "mechanisms that enable two #software components to communicate with each other using a set of definitions and protocols" (Amazon Web Services). To learn more about how APIs are vital in EA's work with states, school districts, and local #education agencies, check out our blog, "From datasets to data streams: How we can move the education field away from being data rich but information poor," by CEO Andrew Rice. https://lnkd.in/gSyBQmwp Interested in learning more? Have you read our latest #blog? At the beginning of October, several EA staff attended the Ed-Fi Alliance’s Ed-Fi Summit 2024 to connect, present, and learn from state and #education leaders, #EdTech providers, #educators, and technical experts. We share some of their key takeaways in the blog below! “Attending the Ed-Fi Summit always invigorates me with its spirit of innovation, the passion of presenters, and the creative solutions that propel the community towards continuous improvement,” Technical Delivery Lead John Raub said. Education Analytics reposted this
In celebration of Dictionary Day, we are excited to launch a new weekly series, “Word of the Week,” where every week, we define a word or phrase related to the work we do in the #education #data and #analytics space. To kick off the series, this week we are highlighting interoperability. #Interoperability encapsulates #technology that allows for data to be formatted and exchanged between different systems. Interoperability is about getting data into the right place, at the right time, with the right amount of supporting information to make it meaningful and useful. Interoperability is, at its core, about enabling the broader and more coherent use of data. To learn more about our interoperable work, check out the blog, “10 research questions interoperability will radically transform,” below! https://lnkd.in/gDtB5UDr
