A few weeks ago, Lachlan Morton embarked on his most ambitious journey yet: a 14,201-kilometer attempt to circumnavigate Australia in record time. Throughout his adventure, Lachlan will raise funds for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. This organization provides children in remote Australian communities access to books and reading materials in their native languages. Lachlan’s ride has currently raised $45,000 for the foundation! So far, Lachlan has faced 13 days of harsh weather conditions, strong headwinds, and even magpie attacks (this is Australia after all). He is currently ahead of the standing record — averaging around 500 KM of riding each day, totaling 6,388.31 KM in less than two weeks. We’re thrilled to see Kristen Faulkner’s cycling achievements spotlighted in this article by The Wall Street Journal! (Including her most recent stage four win at Vuelta España Femenina!) It’s been another great week for EF Education-Cannondale. On Monday, Alison Jackson won stage 2 of Vuelta España Femenina, the squad’s first grand tour win. The victory celebrations continued on Wednesday when Kristen Faulkner crossed the line in first place in stage 4.
