We are beyond honored 🤩 to share that our very own CEO, Penelope Finnie, has been selected as a recipient of the 2024 Feminist in Action Award by Massachusetts National Organization for Women (Mass NOW)! This prestigious recognition celebrates leaders who champion #equity, #justice, and intersectional #feminism—values that are at the core of everything we do at #EgalPads. Our mission to disrupt the #womenshealth landscape with #PadsonaRoll has always been about making #menstrualproducts accessible and breaking down the stigma surrounding #periods. Being honored for this work alongside such trailblazing figures as Chastity Bowick, Bria Gadsden, MS, and former State Senator Linda Dorcena Forry is truly humbling. 🙏 We can’t wait to join the celebration 🎉 at the 14th Annual Feminist Affair on October 10th, 2024, at Hibernian Hall in Boston. It promises to be an inspiring night filled with #community, #advocacy, and celebration, and we’re excited to connect with so many passionate individuals. 🫶 Thank you, Mass NOW, for recognizing our efforts. We are energized to continue pushing forward in our mission to create a more equitable and just world for all! 🌈 #FeministInAction #MassNOW #IntersectionalFeminism #Egal #MenstrualEquity #PeriodEquity

Let's talk about basic needs being met. Thanks to legislation and to incredible founders with bigger-than-themselves missions, feminine products are becoming more available in public spaces. But there is still a lot of innovation left to be had -- and bathrooms to equip. Egal Pads, Inc believes that pads should be as common as toilet paper. And I had the pleasure of meeting some of their incredibly smart team members -- Danielle Ferguson & Jennifer Severns -- at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for gener8tor's Manufacturing Conference this week! With a concise and compelling pitch deck and great energy, both ladies helped me understand why the problem they're solving is so important: Egal's pads on a roll can be dispensed in every stall where they are needed most. No one carries around toilet paper, so why should we have to carry around period products? 20% of menstruating students miss school because they don't have access to period products. Thank you Danielle and Jennifer for your passion to bring this product to market!

Exciting news for Portsmouth! We're thrilled to announce that we’ve partnered with 'Pads on a Roll' by Egal Pads, Inc to launch a pilot programme providing free access to sanitary pads inside toilet stalls across 10 locations in the city. This initiative aims to support those who might be caught short without sanitary products while out and about. A huge thank you to Niamh D'Arcy at Egal for making this possible and for helping us provide accessible period products for the residents of Portsmouth! Period products can sometimes be difficult to access, and asking for them can feel embarrassing or disempowering. This pilot offers a discreet way for people to get the products they need, without having to ask anyone. We’re focusing on high-deprivation areas and services most affected by the cost-of-living crisis, ensuring that support reaches those who need it most. The pilot will run for 60 days, after which we’ll evaluate its effectiveness and explore the possibility of long-term implementation. Today, we're also launching our Cost-of-Living hub blog, highlighting where Portsmouth residents can find affordable or free period products in the city. We hope this resource will be of great help to our community during these challenging times. https://lnkd.in/eTFEnNzz Keep an eye out for our posters and dispensers across the city, and if you come across them, please consider filling in the short survey to share your thoughts! And a special shoutout to my assistant Keeta, who’s been hard at work helping me with the distribution effort. 🐈🐾
