🎉 Excited to announce the publication of my latest demo paper, “Transforming Museum Experiences with Virtual Reality,” in Springer Nature as part of the Joint International Conference on Serious Games (JCSG 2024: https://lnkd.in/eSk4x8jp) series! This project explores how Virtual Reality (VR) can revolutionize museum experience design. Using the banjo’s history as a case study, we dive into VR’s potential to create immersive, interactive, and accessible museum experiences that transcend physical space. Our VR museum model fosters deeper cultural connections, particularly enhancing understanding and empathy toward African-American history and culture. I cannot wait to see how this work can inspire new, inclusive approaches in museums and beyond. And special thanks to Programs In ECT for fostering an environment of innovation and exploration that made this project possible. The completion of this paper couldn’t have happened without the invaluable support of my professors, Camillia Matuk, Xavier Ochoa, and Jan L. Plass.
