In an effort to address common questions and challenges regarding how to address sustainability and become 'more green', the Electric Utility Industry Sustainable Supply Chain Alliance was formed in 2008. Referenced as SSCA, the group was formed by several electric utility supply chain executives who recognized the potential benefits of working together to green the electric utility industry supply chain. SSCA's mission is to improve the sustainability of the products and services utilities buy and use as well as the performance of suppliers and supply chain operations.
