Yesterday, I hosted the PGP* (Pretty Good Policy) for Crypto meeting in Washington, DC, amidst the House's historic vote on the #FIT21 legislation. Here’s a recap of the crucial discussions from leading voices in the crypto policy community: Ron Hammond: Live from near Congressman McHenry's office, Ron provided timely insights on the FIT21 and #CBDC bill votes, the evolving support among Democrats, and the CFTC vs. SEC stance. Despite Senate challenges, he remains optimistic about the bill’s future. Laura Sanders: Laura shared updates on a pivotal lawsuit by the Blockchain Association against the SEC's overreaching Dealer Rule, aimed at preserving market liquidity and preventing the exodus of the digital asset industry overseas. Jake Chervinsky: Jake, now with Variant, discussed the FIT21's bipartisan support, its implications for the crypto sector, and the need for regulatory harmony to foster innovation while advocating for the bill’s passage. Zcash has outgrown the need for its trademark agreement, and protocol governance should extend beyond the reach of two parties. ECC intends to terminate this agreement, pending a successful negotiation with Zcash Foundation. More in our blog: https://lnkd.in/gDrW33EY

Check it out and download it here: https://lnkd.in/g5Ur6JSe We released the iOS version about a month ago, and here's what we wrote about it on our blog: #Zashi may one day be an all-inclusive hub for #Zcash users — where they can buy and sell #ZEC on a decentralized exchange, shield digital assets like Bitcoin or US Treasuries, collateralize ZEC and other shielded assets for credit that can be used for payments, stake ZEC for a 5-10% yield, manage their ZEC and other shielded assets on a built-for-purpose device like a hardware wallet, participate in voting exercises, onboard a friend with a simple text message, and more. Nevertheless, today is an important and essential milestone. This release makes Zashi available to billions more users. And now comes the important work of expanding capabilities based on user feedback and real-world use cases — building and growing a full-stack UX that helps power a new system, outside and adjacent to the old system.
