A global leader in the manufacturing of lighting and rigging technology, ETC employs nearly 1400 people in 13 corporate offices around the world. ETC is proud of its industry reputation for unmatched technical and customer service, 24/7/365. And with a family of over 300 authorized service centers throughout the world, staffed by hundreds of certified technicians, customers are never far from an ETC resource with a face and a name. ETC develops professional tools and makes them accessible to everyone. Their products are found in small and large venues worldwide, such as theatres, churches, restaurants, hotels, schools, television studios, casinos, theme parks, and opera houses. Founded in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1975, ETC was begun with the passionate belief that there was a better way to make a lighting control console. A small group of university students challenged themselves by creating a microprocessor-based console that outdid other boards on the market at the time. That entrepreneurial spirit grew into an award-winning business. To learn more about ETC and our history of innovation, visit www.etcconnect.com.

  • Indomitable hope in the face of tragedy takes center stage in the production of Mary Jane on Broadway. Rachel McAdams is a single mother of a chronically ill child who finds support from the women in her life. An Eos desk ran the show, while ETC’s Source Four LED Series 2 fixtures illuminated the stage. From the warmth of an apartment in Queens to the stark cold of a hospital, Lighting Designer Ben Stanton joins ETC to explain how the lighting in Mary Jane tells a story of its own. • ETC has released two updates to the Hog 4 Operating System! These updates primarily provide a solution for Full Boar 4, Road Hog 4-21, and HedgeHog 4X consoles built after 2020 that are experiencing startup issues where output licensing is lost. This fix is provided in v3.21.1 for users still on the v3.x level of the OS, while v4.2 brings this and other small fixes based on user input, as well as an improvement to the Fixture Builder. In v4.2 the Fixture Builder now offers users the ability to create multi-cell fixtures on their own. We recommend reading the release notes for v3.21.1 and v4.2 before updating. Please note that consoles experiencing the output licensing issue and running a v3.x version must use a full install to v3.21.1 to resolve the issue. Release notes and software downloads are available at https://hubs.la/Q02L8T9m0.

  • Lighting Designer Ben Stanton and Programmer Alex Fogel join ETC to discuss Days of Wine and Roses, a tale of love and addiction colliding. The jazzy musical based on the 1962 film, stars Brian d’Arcy James and Kelli O’Hara who portray a couple entangled in their mutual struggles with alcoholism. Drawing from his jazz drummer background, Stanton masterfully wove light and shadow to evoke both beauty and artificiality. ETC’s Source Four LED Series 3 fixtures illuminated the stage while Eos Apex ran the show. Read more about the unforgettable Days of Wine and Roses musical at the link. • Internationally famous music and arts venue Bristol Beacon has selected ETC's architectural lighting and power control after a huge refurbishment of the space. The selection of ETC products which includes ArcSystem fixtures, Echo and Paradigm, F-Drive, Sensor3 and much more, is a significant upgrade aimed at enhancing the venue's visual and operational capabilities. The iconic venue has hosted many performances – including for artists such as The Beatles and David Bowie – for over 150 years. LSI Projects worked on the installation for the venue and 3LR Lighting specified the original project alongside several other companies involved. Find out more at the link: https://hubs.la/Q02KdgSJ0
