In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month 2024, celebrated annually from September 15th until October 15th, Elevate Indianapolis is proud to serve our community. 41.6% of Elevate students being served are of Hispanic Heritage. (Special recognition to long-time Elevate Teacher-Mentor, Mrs. Amanda Garza! We celebrate you as a truly legendary mentor in our city.)

Join us as we come together to celebrate our journey so far and unveil our compelling vision for the year ahead, centered around our empowering theme: "A Big Family with Big Goals!" The Annual Vision Breakfast is our celebration of the impact of our community and share a vision for the year ahead. You will hear stories of hope and success directly from current Elevate students, alumni, and partners. Our sponsors and guests will be inspired by many of our Class of 2025 seniors and have a first-hand opportunity to invest in them directly, helping their dreams move forward. Our In-School Accredited Classes help students thrive in the following areas: Personal Growth through safe and trusted relationships is the focus for all our classes. The Intro To Elevate class is designed to teach character qualities and life skills. Our freshmen and sophomore students begin to better understand their passions, skills, and perceptions of themselves and their place in the world. Community Involvement: Sharing our newfound knowledge is a crucial step in each of our Elevate classes. Our Intro class explores how students can use their skills and passions to elevate their community. In the Elevater course, sophomores and juniors put their knowledge into practice as mentors at our partner elementary schools, with an emphasis on literacy this year. Finally, in Elevate Beyond, upperclassmen prepare a service project aimed at serving our city with the skills and passions they've uncovered in their Elevate journey. This class includes resume building, college admissions prep, career and life planning, and financial literacy, so students can confidently begin the next adventure awaiting them.

We're looking for professionals in the healthcare fields! The first week of October, we'll welcome guest volunteer speakers into our classrooms to share their career journeys, insights, and advice with high school students. These sessions will cover their professional experiences and how they reached their current roles. This initiative aims to provide valuable real-world insights and inspire the next generation of professionals. Elevate Indianapolis embraces a holistic, evidenced-based model rooted in equitable relationships with our students and alumni. For our 2023-2024 school year, our average on-track to graduate rates were 96.1% exceeding the benchmark NCES 2022 4-year adjusted cohort graduation rate for Indiana economically disadvantaged students by 10%. Trusted role model Teacher-Mentors develop youth through 4 program areas, 1) high school elective classes based on thirteen character and life skills, 2) mentoring, 3) sports and adventure, 4) college and career (pathways to purpose).
