In September 2017, the devastating Eagle Creek Wildfire ravaged the Columbia River Gorge, leaving behind a scarred landscape. The aftermath of this natural disaster posed a significant threat to infrastructure and public safety: the potential for widespread debris flows. As a geospatial solutions provider, Elevate UAS, LLC was fortunate to be tasked with supporting ODOT in monitoring and proving data analytics to help in the design of mitigation efforts for those risks. We employed a multi-faceted approach, combining aerial imagery, LiDAR, and advanced data analytics to assess the post-fire landscape and predict potential hazards.
