Last week, we completed and shipped this project! Fourteen high-temperature butterfly dampers, each engineered to withstand up to 900°F and 25 PSIG, are now on their way to support demanding energy and power generation applications. Built from durable 304 stainless steel and A588 materials, these dampers feature reliable modulating control with a 10-position manual hand lever actuation and a conventional swing-thru design. We designed, manufactured, automated and tested this impressive Stainless Steel 1500mm (59-inch) 1.25” plate flange damper with a heavy duty actuator. The team was hopeful to get a free trip across the world in this ISPM15 compliant export grade crate but they would not be back home in time for Halloween. Maybe on the next project! 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗦𝗮𝘄 𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿? We recently finished a project that included 24 heavy-duty 14" ductwork drill dampers with JFlow manual gear actuation and 16 heavy-duty 14" ductwork drill counterweight dampers, all crated up and heading overseas! 📦🌍 What's particularly interesting about this project is the inclusion of the counterweight dampers. This type of damper is not something we see often in production. Counterweight Dampers are designed for high-temperature gas control and for this application, engineered to crack open at a pressure of 5 kPa (0.72 psi) with an estimated leakage of 3%. They provide a passive and reliable way to manage airflow, opening only when the specified pressure is reached, making them ideal for applications where automated or manual controls are not feasible. It’s always exciting to see these unique components come through the shop and head out to serve in specialized industrial applications.
