To achieve #eLITHE's goals, in the German demosite the partners TNO, Institut für Ziegelforschung Essen e.V. and RECOM Services GmbH will demonstrate the technical, environmental, and economic feasibility of setting up a hybrid up to all-electric heating system for implementation in existing tunnel kilns for brick firing. Our partners from CIRCE - Centro Tecnológico and Energy Efficiency in Industrial Processes - EEIP attended the Second Process Industry Conference, organised by A.SPIRE, in Brussels. The event brought together representatives from the process #industries and European institutions to discuss key topics such as #innovation in the EU single market and the green transition of the industrial sector. It also provided an opportunity to connect with leading stakeholders of the #Processes4Planet partnership, all committed to promoting sustainable industrial practices. This is how Irene Paoletti of Energy Efficiency in Industrial Processes - EEIP commented on the event: "The dialogue between sectors emphasized the urgency of harmonizing different regional realities with a common EU regulatory framework, particularly for energy intensive industries like the ceramic sector. This is one of the key challenges addressed by the #eLITHE project, which will assess regulatory and policy instruments, identify new process standards, and promote convergence through EU policy initiatives .”
