Feeling Burned Out? It’s Okay to Take a Break. Ever find yourself reaching for a snack and zoning out after a long, exhausting day? You're not alone! Sometimes, when burnout hits, a small moment of comfort—like enjoying a favorite snack or just letting your mind wander—can feel soothing. But remember, these moments are a signal from your body and mind that you need rest and care. While quick fixes might help in the moment, long-term relief comes from addressing the root cause of burnout. Take time for yourself, set boundaries, and reach out for support if you need it. Your well-being matters. 🌿

About us
We vow to be really and truly different from other mental health providers. The mental health field presents barriers not just for clients and the community, but also for the helpers, therapists, and creatives who do this work. We knew that if we wanted to be truly different, we would have to problem-solve barriers in the field at all levels. Our core values drive all that we do, and help us align with our “why”. We do what we do because it makes sense, and because of science, of course. An abundance of research says that taking intentional time to help your mental health increases your overall wellbeing and life satisfaction. Our services are an opportunity for your brain to take a break. A break that includes support from a professional secret keeper who will ride with you on your emotional journey and offer guidance along the way. Our core values ensure that all of our actions from the impactful connections between clients and therapists to the big business decisions align with our goal of providing innovative mental health services that fill a gap in our communities.

🌀 Overthinking About Overthinking? Same. 🌀 Ever find yourself spiraling, thinking about how much you’re overthinking? 🤯 It’s like: “Wait, am I overthinking this? But now I’m overthinking the fact that I’m overthinking…” We get it. The brain loves to go in circles sometimes! 😅 But here’s the thing: overthinking doesn’t have to control your life. ✨ Take a pause – Notice when your thoughts start to snowball and try grounding yourself in the present. ✨ Challenge your thoughts – Ask yourself: Is this thought helpful? ✨ Be kind to yourself – It’s okay to have a busy mind, just don’t let it judge you for being human. You don’t have to think your way out of overthinking. Sometimes it’s as simple as taking a step back. 💭💙 #Overthinking #MentalHealthAwareness #CalmYourMind #SelfCompassion #EllieMentalHealth #EllieFortWashington

What Helps Me Cope When I Encounter Triggers 💬 Let’s be real—life is full of triggering moments, whether it's a conversation, an event, or even something unexpected. When those feelings start to rise, it’s important to have some go-to coping strategies to help you stay grounded: ✨ 1. Breathe First, React Later A few deep breaths can create space between the trigger and your reaction, giving you time to collect your thoughts. ✨ 2. Reach Out Talking to someone you trust can help you process the feelings instead of carrying them alone. Don't be afraid to lean on your support system. ✨ 3. Focus on the Present Grounding exercises, like naming objects around you or focusing on your senses, can help bring you back to the here and now. ✨ 4. Give Yourself Permission to Feel It’s okay to feel upset, scared, or anxious. Acknowledge your emotions without judgment and let them pass naturally. ✨ 5. Take Time for Self-Care Whether it's a walk, journaling, or just sitting in silence, give yourself a break to recharge. Triggers are tough, but you don’t have to face them alone.
