Jennifer O’Brien, or Jen as she’s known, hails from the North Hills of Pittsburgh and still calls it home. She lives there with her husband, daughter, and a lively crew of pets—three dogs (Fiona, Molly, and Bruno) and two cats (Boris and Maxwell) who keep things interesting! When it comes to her work, Jen brings her passion and expertise to a wide range of areas, including substance use disorders, post-partum depression, psychotic spectrum disorders, trauma, identity and self-esteem, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), internal family systems (IFS), grief and loss, women’s health and well-being, LGBTQIA+ issues, anxiety, crisis management, and even vocational planning. This past week we helped co-host the Innovations in Mental Conference, an all day CEU event filled with fantastic sponsors and guest speakers. It’s events like these that help keep us mental health professionals sharp and on top of new trends and innovations to help better our local communities.
