On the latest episode of Good Trouble, José Massó III, host of ¡Con Salsa! and cultural icon, dives deep into the soul of Puerto Rican music. He shares how its rhythms not only move us but have long served as a voice for protest and a powerful tool for cultural expression. From the streets to the stage, the music of Puerto Rico has always been a call to action, unity, and resistance. An amazing weekend enveloped in love, joy, community, and familia that I'm hoping to carry into this week! Congratulations to Embrace Boston for the inaugural Embrace Massó Con Salsa! International Music Festival honoring the living legend Mr. Jose C. Masso III with the formidable Mr. Eddie Palmieri and his orchestra. This event marked a historic moment in Boston as we celebrated AfroLatino culture, music, education, and the art of community building as social justice. Lifting brother Imari Paris Jeffries Ph.D. for his unifying vision and Elizabeth Tiblanc for her flawless execution along with the team. Thanks for letting me be a part of it, it meant so much to me as a product of Mr. Massó's mentorship and long-time friendship. Looking forward to next year's 50th anniversary of Con Salsa - you won't want to miss! #EmbraceMassóConSalsa2024 #MassoConSalsa
