This summer has been extra special at EMBREY as we celebrate our 50th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of our internship program! Here’s a look back at some highlights: Community Service: They made a significant impact by volunteering at local food banks in three of EMBREY’s key markets, contributing to the well-being of our communities. Networking & Learning: Through engaging coffee chats, insightful lunch & learns, platform workshops and a special session with Founder & Chairman, Walter Embrey, Jr., interns gained industry knowledge and built valuable connections. Property Tours: Interns toured our award-winning properties, gaining hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of multifamily real estate operations and development. Team Spirit: Several interns joined the EMBREY soccer team, showcasing teamwork and collaboration beyond the office. Project Presentations: The summer concluded with impressive project presentations, reflecting the skills and knowledge our interns gained throughout their time with us. At EMBREY, one of our core values is a steadfast commitment to nurturing future leaders in real estate. This summer, that commitment was clearly demonstrated through the progress and achievements of our interns. Meet Josephine McCray! After participating in our 2023 internship program, she chose EMBREY and joined us as a full-time team member. She is now a Marketing Coordinator in our EMBREY Management Services division helping to support more than 40 properties across 6 states.   Josephine was a member of the Trinity University soccer team and before graduating, she received the Bob King Excellence in Sport Management Award, an honor given to a senior majoring in Business Administration who demonstrated outstanding academic performance, community service and engagement with Trinity’s athletic department. The award reflects a commitment to student success and potential for post-graduate achievements. She consistently brings fresh ideas and initiatives to the table and is one of several interns who has officially transitioned to Team EMBREY, paying it forward by mentoring current and future interns. Meet Andrea Soto, The University of Texas at San Antonio student interning for our Construction division this summer. Yesterday our interns went beyond the corporate office and job sites to volunteer at local food banks in Texas, North Carolina, and Colorado. Over the remaining couple of weeks, they will engage in a team-building challenge, present their final projects and participate in additional collaboration and networking opportunities.
