I am learning a lot at the 2024 Fall Conference in Deadwood! It is also a great opportunity for others to learn about our organization. #DisabilityEmployment

Thank you for setting a great example for other businesses in our community, The First National Bank in Sioux Falls! This was an incredible celebration. #DisabilityEmploymentResources #DisabilityEmployment
Giving our teammates the opportunity to develop their passions and skillsets in their work at First National Bank has always been an important part of our company culture. For Operations Associate Landon Wagner, living with autism gives him a unique skillset that thrives in situations where keen attention to detail and repetition are needed. Our enthusiasm for welcoming Landon to our team has led to First National Bank being recognized as a Disability Inclusion Partner by Employment Disability Resources, an organization that promotes the successful employment and inclusion of people with disabilities. We were able to celebrate this special recognition with Landon and his parents, his FNB family, and representatives from Employment Disability Resources and the City of Sioux Falls. Keep up the great work, Landon!

What is WOTC? The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) is a federal tax credit available to employers who invest in American job seekers who have consistently faced barriers to employment. Employers may meet their business needs and claim a tax credit if they hire an individual in a WOTC-targeted group. Employers must apply for and receive a certification verifying that the new hire is a targeted group member before they can claim the tax credit. After the required certification is secured, taxable employers claim the WOTC as a general business credit against their income taxes, and tax-exempt employers claim the WOTC against their payroll taxes. WOTC is authorized until December 31, 2025 (Section 113 of Division EE of P.L. 116-260 -- Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021). Learn more about how the WOTC benefits employers and how to start utilizing it in our WOTC Quick Reference Guide for Employers via the link in the comments. #EmploymentDisabilityResources #DisabilityInclusion #BreakingBarriers #PromoteInclusion #MissionBased
