Chief Estimator Opportunity in Construction Our client is seeking a seasoned Chief Estimator to lead our estimating team, offering expert guidance and driving the department's planning and coordination efforts. **Responsibilities:** - Oversee and mentor a team of estimators, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all estimates. - Review project specifications and drawings, attend pre-bid meetings to define scope, and manage bid submissions. - Leverage historical data for bid pricing and analyze blueprints to prepare detailed estimates. - Procure and analyze subcontractor quotes, qualify vendors, and ensure competitive bidding. - Maintain records and serve as a key resource for technical inquiries and project planning. **Qualifications:** - Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or related field. - 15+ years in construction with at least 10 years in an estimating role. - Strong familiarity with construction techniques, scheduling, codes, and OSHA safety guidelines. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with On Screen Takeoff (OST) preferred. - OSHA 10 certification required within the first year of employment.
