We are asking for your continued prayers and support for the family, friends and co-workers of Linda Holliman. Linda was one of our Empowerment Network Step Up Omaha career coaches. Linda passed unexpectedly earlier this month, and her celebration of life will be held Thursday morning. With the family’s permission, I am making this post. Our Empowerment Network team, board and partners offer our deepest condolences to Linda’s family, friends and all of the co-workers, students and families she worked with for many years. Linda served with the Step-Up Omaha team for nearly four years. She was incredibly dedicated to the success of each student and intern she worked with at Omaha North and with the Step-Up team. She consistently went above and beyond to assist the students and families. She joined the team in the midst of the pandemic and helped tremendously with administration, transportation and coaching interns. Each and every time I saw Linda she would always go out of her way to say hello and greet me with a big, warm smile. A kind and loving person, she had a laugh that would fill the room. No matter how she was feeling, she always worked to make sure the students had what they needed and worked hard to connect them with resources and a promising future. Linda was willing to share whatever she had to support the students. We pray that God will give her family and friends strength and comfort during this time. We are thankful for the opportunity we had to work alongside Linda. We celebrate her life and legacy. She helped countless students and families and did so with passion and commitment.
