EMSA joined dozens of other organizations at ‘Mission: Life Launch’ to help high school sophomores in Pottawatomie County think about careers in the future. During the event, EMSA Recruiter Michael Williams and EMSA Special Events Coordinator Riley Howard met with hundreds of high school students, taught them a little bit about pre-hospital medicine, and how to perform sidewalk CPR. #emsaok #firstresponders #ems #careerfair

They did it! Last week, 12 EMTs graduated from EMSA’s in-house Paramedic program in the Eastern Division. This group has spent the last 11 months learning all of the necessary protocols and procedures to become EMSA Paramedics. They are now preparing for their next challenge- the NREMT exam to become nationally certified Paramedics. #emsaok #firstresponders #ems #paramedics #graduation

History is being made at EMSA! Last month, EMSA EMT Jacob Trevino was promoted to the position of EMT instructor for EMSA’s in-house EMT program, EMSA Advantage, in the Eastern Division. The promotion marks a first by EMSA’s Clinical Services Department- the promotion of an EMT to a leadership role. After 11 years as an EMT, Jacob set himself apart by showing a passion for developing new recruits and helping them succeed as an EMT-Preceptor at EMSA. We are sure that passion will transfer over to the classroom as he continues to teach dozens of future EMSA EMTs. Congratulations, Jacob! #emsaok #firstresponders #ems #emsaadvantage

Say hello to EMSA’s future EMTs! The newest group of trainees started the EMSA Advantage program earlier this month and are well on their way to learning the ins-and-outs of being an EMT. The 22 trainees in Oklahoma City and 19 trainees in Tulsa have learned how to safely move patients, and are working with EMSA’s Academy to learn more about responding to life-threatening emergency calls. Good luck on your studies! #emsaok #firstresponders #ems #emsaadvantage

The future of pre-hospital medicine is here at EMSA! This week, EMSA launched its new SimTEP program, which is simulation training for EMS professionals. EMSA SimTEP revolutionizes our traditional hands-on training by using cutting edge technology to put new Paramedics and EMTs into real-life scenarios where their surroundings can play a challenging role in their jobs. Part of the program utilizes hyper-realistic manikins during scenarios, which allow EMSA Paramedics and EMTs to practice every step of a call with an instructor nearby. Another addition to training is a 360-degree immersive simulation room, which adds an extra layer of reality to various scenarios by putting EMSA crews in different environments with audio and visual distractions. You can check out more about EMSA’s SimTEP training here: https://bit.ly/47BUzyx #emsaok #firstresponders #ems #simtep
