October is breast cancer awareness month, and this year’s theme from the World Health Organization is “no one should face breast cancer alone.” A health care crisis can increase feelings of isolation and despair, but early detection and treatment options can offer people hope and increase survival rates. #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth #BreastCancerAwareness #EnchantedSkyHospice #PatientCentered #NewMexicoTrue #NHPCO #HPNA

National Case Management Week is October 13–19. The theme for this year is "Encouraging, Engaging, and Empowering". Case managers are healthcare professionals who help patients and clients access health and social services, and coordinate their care. Their knowledge of resources and systems allows patients and families to focus on their own health needs without also needing to navigate complex medical systems. Case managers are, in fact, “encouraging, engaging, and empowering.” #CMWeek2024 #CMSA #CaseManagement #EnchantedSkyHospice #PatientCentered #NewMexicoTrue #NHPCO #HPNA

World Mental Health Day Thursday, October 10 The World Health Organization honors the importance of mental health each year on October 10. By raising awareness about mental health, more people can seek and receive care and support. This year’s theme is “Mental Health at Work,” which emphasizes the role of work in our lives, and ways in which it can be made more supportive of worker well-being. Working conditions that support mental health, such as those that honor our need for safety, non-discrimination, opportunity, and meaning, are a basic human right that are often not valued as they should be. This year, we honor all people and the work they do throughout their lives. #WorldMentalHealthDay #EnchantedSkyHospice #PatientCentered #HospiceVolunteer #NewMexicoTrue #NHPCO #HPNA
