Today on #WorldHomelessDay, we recognize the global crisis of homelessness—a challenge that affects millions of people worldwide, leaving families, individuals, and communities without the safety and stability of a home. 🌎 At Encompass Housing, we are proud to be part of the solution right here in Southern California. As of today, our dedicated team has successfully housed 159 clients, providing not just a roof, but also the support and resources needed for long-term stability. Our goal is to prevent and end homelessness by offering compassionate, comprehensive housing and wraparound services that address root causes and helps those in need rebuild their lives. Our team had a spooktacular time at the Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor in Long Beach! 🎃👻 It was an unforgettable night filled with thrills, chills, and plenty of laughter. Team bonding events are important to our team because we not only have a great time together, but we also build trust, create memories, and grow together as a team. We are so grateful to OASIS Center International for dedicating their time and talents to our Recuperative Care Program! For the past 6 weeks, OASIS has led creative art and journaling sessions, bringing mindfulness and healing through artistic expression. 🌟 Known for their incredible work with at-promise youth, this is OASIS’ first time working with a recuperative care population, and they are truly amazing! Yeehaw! 🤠 On Wednesday, September 18th, Deby Wolford, Encompass’s Executive Director, and Katherine Davis, Ed.D., Director of Grants & Community Engagement of National Healthcare & Housing Advisors, attended Westward Home: A Gala to End the Cycle of Poverty, presented by U.S. Bank at The Ranch in Anaheim. The event supported the Orange County Community Housing Corporation/SteppingUP nonprofit organization. It was a wonderful evening celebrating the impact of community-driven initiatives aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty. The clients we serve are more than just a number—they are individuals with unique stories who deserves a safe and stable place to heal and rebuild. We are honored to walk alongside them on their journey toward new beginnings, offering support and hope every step of the way. Many of the individuals that enter our Recuperative Care program are discharged from the hospital and lack the resources, stability, and safety that is needed to properly rest and recover. Our program aims to bridge that gap by providing wrap-around services during their stay, such as Housing Navigation and Day Habilitation, enabling us to address all of their needs under one roof.
