We are pleased to share that Endeavor Egypt’s CEO, Amr El Abd, and Board Member, Dalia Ibrahim, attended a pivotal consultation headed by H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning and Economic Development and Chair of the Ministerial Group for Entrepreneurship, with the participation of Dr. Gehan Saleh, Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister. The meeting brought together leaders from Venture Capital Firms, Legal Firms, and startups to shape a roadmap for Egypt’s entrepreneurship sector, supporting its role in economic growth. Dr. Al-Mashat highlighted the government’s commitment to creating a supportive environment for startups, emphasizing that ongoing economic reforms position Egypt for growth in this vital sector. The meeting addressed enhancing policies and incentives to retain talent, attract investment, and facilitate startups’ global reach. Additionally, corporate venture capital (CVC) was spotlighted as an effective model for encouraging investment from established companies into startups. The discussions also explored regulatory reforms to improve Egypt’s business environment and outlined short- and long-term goals for the entrepreneurship sector. Participants shared successful international practices and emphasized the importance of simplified regulations and tax incentives to support the sector’s growth. This consultation marks a significant step in Egypt’s drive to become a regional hub for innovation and investment.
